TunnelLedger publishes VPN comparisons and guides. This policy explains information processing when you visit this website or follow provider links. We do not offer user accounts, newsletter signup forms, or checkout on this site.
Website hosting
Vercel hosts this website. Loading a page sends connection information, including your IP address, requested URL, and browser information, to Vercel to deliver and secure the site. See Vercel’s privacy notice for its processing and retention practices.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand readership and improve the site. It processes page URLs, referring websites, approximate location, device and browser information, and visit times to provide aggregate statistics.
When custom event tracking is enabled, clicks on our provider-offer buttons also send the provider name and the page placement to Vercel. These events measure clicks, not purchases. We do not send guide-search text as a custom event.
Vercel describes Web Analytics as using a hash derived from a request instead of third-party cookies to distinguish visitors. It discards visitor sessions after 24 hours; this is not a deletion period for all aggregate statistics or hosting logs. Read Vercel’s analytics privacy documentation.
Affiliate links and other websites
Our NordVPN offer links are affiliate links. If you purchase through one of them, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. Our affiliate disclosure explains our funding.
Following a NordVPN affiliate link takes you through Nord’s tracking service to its website. Nord uses a referral cookie that expires after 30 days to attribute account registrations and qualifying purchases. Tracking may fail if you delete the cookie or switch devices before registering. We do not load an affiliate tracking script or set this referral cookie simply because you visit TunnelLedger.
Provider websites handle their own purchases, payment details, and tracking. Their privacy notices and cookie controls apply when you visit them. See Nord’s privacy policy and cookie policy. Other external links are subject to the destination website’s policies.
